Sec. 6-56. Violations and penalties.
(a) Unlawful acts. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to do any electrical work in conflict with or in violation of any of the provisions of this article.
(b) Violation penalties. Any person who shall violate a provision of this article, or shall fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof, or who shall erect, install, alter or repair electrical work in violation of the approved construction documents or directive of the code official or director of planning and development, or of a permit or certificate issued under the provisions of this code, shall be guilty of an offense punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00). Each day that a violation continues after due notice has been served shall be deemed a separate offense.
