City Attorney
The City Attorney for the City of Norfolk is Danielle Myers-Noelle. The position of city attorney is established in City Code, Section 2-49. The City Attorney has many duties including:
- Provides legal advice and services to the Mayor and City Council, City Administrator, City Staff, Boards, Commissions and Authorities
- Drafts city ordinances, resolutions and other legislative documentation;
- Reviews policies and procedures for compliance with legal requirements
- Prosecutes municipal code violations including traffic, criminal, ordinance and comparable cases in Madison County and District courts.
