Due to scheduled tree trimming in downtown Norfolk, parking will be restricted on Norfolk Avenue from 4th to 5th Street from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 23.

Central Park Playground Maintenance
Beginning Monday, July 15, maintenance work will begin at Central Park. Parks and Recreation staff will be replacing the sand in the playground area with new playground mulch.

Concrete Repair Work Continues
Beginning Wednesday, July 17, a concrete repair project is set to start. Work is scheduled to begin on the outside lanes of Benjamin Avenue, east of 1st Street, moving east to the East Benjamin Avenue bridge.

Concrete Repairs Begin Monday on Madison Avenue Sidewalk
Beginning Monday, July 15, concrete repair work will take place on the south side of Madison Avenue, on the sidewalk from 1st to 3rd Street.

Mosquito Fogging to Begin
The City of Norfolk will conduct mosquito fogging in parks and some residential areas of Norfolk over the next couple of days, weather permitting.
Mosquito fogging is generally conducted in the evening hours from 8:30 to 11:00, weather permitting. While a slight breeze is necessary, wind conditions should be less than 10 miles per hour for the best fogging results.

Eastern Height Booster Station Power Issue Causes Lower Water Pressure
A power issue has affected the Eastern Height Booster Station, causing lower than normal water pressure in this neighborhood. The lower pressure will affect lawn sprinkler operation.
