Norfolk Bike Trail Partially Closed

May 24, 2022

Due to preliminary work on the Norfolk 1st Street Roadway and Bridge Project, a portion of the bike trail off of Nebraska Avenue and Oak Street will be intermittently closed.

The contractor will be hauling in large rocks to stockpile at the southwest corner of Johnson Park.  Residents are asked to stay off the trail marked closed by signage.  Please stay clear of the area where rock is to…

Benjamin Avenue Paving Begins

Paving work is set to begin on Benjamin Avenue Tuesday morning at 6:00 in front of Premier Marketing. There will be increased construction traffic and concrete trucks in the area.

Nonprofit Helps Beautify Norfolk

Hydrant Flushing New Areas

The Norfolk Water Division has begun their annual water main flushing program on April 18. Flushing will continue during the day beginning at 8:00 a.m. and concluding at 4:30 p.m.

Riverside Traffic Light under Maintenance

Improvements Coming to Parks and Recreation

On Monday, the Norfolk City Council gave approval to improve a pair of Parks and Recreation Division facilities, the Ta-Ha-Zouka softball complex spectator area which will be paved to accommodate ADA access and Veteran's Memorial baseball field which will be getting new infield AstroTurf.

Take part in 'Battle of the Badges'

The Norfolk Police and Fire Divisions are set to battle it out again and also help the American Red Cross replenish its blood supply. On Friday, June 17, the ‘Battle of the Badges’ blood drive will determine which division can bring in the most donations.
