With the vacancy of a Ward 2 seat on the Norfolk City Council, resulting from Shane Clausen being sworn in as Mayor, applications are now being accepted to fill the position.

Citizens interested in applying must reside in Ward 2 (the northwest quadrant of Norfolk) and submit a written statement of intent along with a personal résumé to the City Administrator’s office by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024 by email at or drop off at 309 North 5th Street. Following the submission deadline, the Mayor and City Council will conduct interviews with applicants. A special City Council meeting will be convened for the interviews.
