The Norfolk Morning and Noon Optimist clubs recognized Firefighter/Paramedic Ethan Larson of the Norfolk Fire Division at Monday’s city council meeting. Optimist international highlights those who inspire respect for the law.

"Ethan is always dependable when it comes to covering shifts, especially when we're short-staffed, and responding to call-backs. Ethan is a valuable coworker, employee, and friend to everyone. If a coworker ever needs help outside of work, Ethan is always the first to lend a hand, even with his busy schedule. Norfolk Fire is undoubtedly better because of his presence," said Lieutenant Brock Soderberg.
