Norfolk Fire Recipient of Grant Funds

The Norfolk Fire Division is excited to announce the receipt of a $8,308.75 grant from Daycos. This funding supports the acquisition and implementation of the Image Trend Elite EMS reporting software, including setup fees and two years of subscription costs.

“Norfolk Fire and Rescue is extremely grateful for the opportunity to improve EMS reporting capabilities through grant assistance from Daycos,” said Trever O’Brien, Assistant Fire Chief. “The software upgrades purchased will allow us to enhance our reporting efficiencies by integrating with dispatch and tailoring reports to the specific needs of our department. Our personnel spend significant time on reporting, and we hope to reduce this time, enabling us to focus more on other critical aspects of our job while maintaining accurate and timely reports.”

This upgrade promises far-reaching benefits, not only improving operational efficiency but also positively impacting responder well-being and community outcomes.

“This grant reflects our commitment to innovation and community service,” said Cody Ronnfeldt, Executive Coordinator with Daycos. “Two of our Daycos4Good focus areas are ‘using innovative technology to improve lives’ and ‘serving those who serve.’ This initiative aligns perfectly with both, and we are truly grateful to support those who risk their lives for the safety of our community.”

The Daycos Community Investment Committee encourages other organizations to apply for funding to support projects that make a lasting impact. “Our application process is extremely simple and can be done by going to Daycos.com,” added Ronnfeldt.
