Project Description

This project consists of the reconstruction of Raasch Avenue from 34th Street to the west entrance of Sugar Plum Oak. The reconstruction will include removal and replacement of concrete pavement, updated handicap ramps, and adjustment of drop inlets to grade. Concrete panel replacement on 34th Street between U.S. Highway 275 and Koenigstein Avenue will also be completed as part of this project. 

Project Schedule

Notice to Contractors was published February 18 and a revised Notice to Contractors was published February 25, 2020.  Bids for the project were opened on March 5, 2020 and the Bid Schedule B - 34th Street portion of the project was awarded to Elkhorn Paving Construction Co., Inc. at the April 6, 2020 City Council meeting. Change Order No. 1 for the Bid Schedule D - Raasch Drive portion of the project is scheduled for approval at the April 20, 2020 City Council meeting.

Street replacement on Raasch Drive is schedule to begin April 22, 2020. Raasch Drive from 34th Street to the west entrance of Sugar Plum Oak will be closed starting Wednesday, April 22 and last approximately one month. Raasch Drive from 31st Street west to Sugar Plum Oak will remain open during construction.
