Victory Road Trail
Project Description:
This project consists of about 3,500 feet of trail, the majority being 10 feet wide. The southern portion of the trail near the Norfolk Avenue/Victory Road roundabout is 8 feet wide with 2 foot of colored and stamped concrete along the back of curb. In addition to a concrete trail, this project also incorporated some drainage improvements. These improvements included a concrete liner being installed in the existing ditch bottom, as well as a large box culvert extending out to a future detention cell These improvements will allow for more efficient flow during storm events.
Project Schedule:
- Design of this trail began in December 2016
- A Request for Proposals Notice was sent in October 2017
- A bid tabulation was available in October 2017
- The contract was awarded to Elkhorn Paving construction in November 2017
- Construction began in May 2018
- Construction of the trail was completed in August 2018
