Downtown Signal Study Begins Friday

The City of Norfolk will be conducting a signal study at two intersections on Norfolk Avenue, set to last three to four months.

Beginning mid-morning on Friday, April 12, the intersections at 4th Street and Norfolk Avenue, and 5th Street and Norfolk Avenue will change to four-way stop-controlled intersections.

South 1st Street to Open Friday Morning

Work has been completed on the sanitary sewer installation on South 1st Street. Beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 29, the street will be accessible to traffic.

East Prospect Street Closure

Benjamin Avenue Open to Traffic

Benjamin Avenue is now open to traffic from 13th to 1st Street. The intersection at Riverside Boulevard is also open to traffic. Some additional work will continue in the next few weeks to finish pavement markings and install the permanent traffic signals.

Pavement Work on Riverside Boulevard
