The public is invited to a Benjamin Avenue Improvement Project update Tuesday, June 7 at the Norfolk City Council Chambers (309 North 5th Street) from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Representatives from BX-Civil & Construction and the City will be on hand to share current progress and answer questions.

Work Progressing on 18th Street
Work is progressing on concrete improvements on 18th Street from Bel Air Road to Imperial Road.
Beginning Wednesday, June 1 the eastern half of the 18th Street and Skyline Drive intersection will be closed.
Norfolk Bike Trail Partially Closed
Due to preliminary work on the Norfolk 1st Street Roadway and Bridge Project, a portion of the bike trail off of Nebraska Avenue and Oak Street will be intermittently closed.

Benjamin Avenue Paving Begins
Paving work is set to begin on Benjamin Avenue Tuesday morning at 6:00 in front of Premier Marketing. There will be increased construction traffic and concrete trucks in the area.

Concrete Improvement Work Continues
Work is continuing on concrete improvements throughout Norfolk. Repairs on 18th Street from Bel Air Road to Imperial Road and south to the Prospect Hill Cemetery north property line is slated to begin Tuesday, May 17.
Traffic will be maintained to one lane and please use caution in the area. Work should last until the beginning of July weather permitting.

Lane markings to be painted
Work will begin Sunday, May 15 on thermoplastic line markings part of the completion of the mill and overlay project that began last year.
Affected areas will be at the Highway 81 and Omaha Avenue intersection on Sunday, Norfolk Avenue from 7th Street to the flood control bridge on Monday, and 7th Street from Madison Avenue to Prospect Avenue on Tuesday.
