Northeast Nebraska Fair Housing Conference

The City of Norfolk Housing Division was excited to resume the annual Northeast Nebraska Fair Housing Conference in 2021! Taking place at Norfolk Public Library  on October 19, information was presented to participants by Joe Garcia and Rhonda Uher, of the Fair Housing Center of NE-IA, both specializing in Fair Housing Issues faced by tenants and landlords across the state.

Registration was capped at 65 participants this year, and topics included Recognizing the Difference between Landlord/Tenant Law and Fair Housing, Pets/Emotional Support Animals/Service Animals, Tester Calls, and Do's and Don'ts of Fair Housing. Many questions were raised by participants, leading the way to ongoing discussion about the topics at hand.

To be included on the mailing list for next year's conference, or to ask questions about the event, please contact 402-844-2080.
