Annual Poetry Contest now open for submissions!

The Norfolk Public Library is hosting a poetry contest for all ages!

The Rules: Write one or two poems of no more than 16 lines per poem on any subject, in any form. The top winners in each of the three age divisions will receive a $25 gift certificate that can be used at a variety of local businesses. All entries must include the completed official entry form, which contains the contest rules.

Submissions are open to any current Norfolk Public Library cardholder through Friday, March 31. If the submission is from a child or teen who does not have a library card, a parent or guardian must have a current Norfolk Public Library card.

Entries must be the original, unpublished work of the entrant and may be turned in at the library or by using our online submission form.

Poems will be on display in the library during National Library Week, April 23-29.
