Attention writers! The Norfolk Public Library is having a poetry contest for all ages. The deadline to turn in your submission is Monday, March 15, at 8:00 p.m.
Top winner in each division (Age 12 & under; 13-18; and 19 & up) will receive a $25 gift certificate that can be used at a variety of local businesses. Winning entries will also be published in the April edition of the library’s newsletter. All poems will be on display in the library during National Library Week, April 5-10. Each person may submit up to two poems of no more than 16 lines per poem. All entries must include the completed official entry form found here.
Submissions will ONLY be accepted in person at the library or in the library's book drop (no mail or electronic submissions please) and must be the original, unpublished work of the entrant. The full rules of the contest can be found on the entry form. Happy writing!
