The Norfolk Public Library is proud to announce its annual Summer Speakers Series beginning June 10. The series highlights experts and scholars from a variety of backgrounds who are part of Humanities Nebraska’s Speakers Bureau. Topics will range from journalists who will speak about the importance of their work throughout history, artists who will share the power of stories and music, and historians who will reflect on Nebraska and its role in the American story. Programs will be held on the second and fourth Tuesday evenings of June, July, and August at 6:30pm.

The Summer Speaker Series is funded in part by a grant from Humanities Nebraska and we are grateful for their support. Humanities Nebraska is a private nonprofit with a mission to help people explore what connects us and makes us human. HN is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities, an appropriation from the Nebraska Legislature, private donations, and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, a public-private partnership with state dollars matching private dollars to benefit the arts and humanities in Nebraska.
