Lawn Conversion Program

The Parks & Recreation Division will reimburse homeowners, within City limits, dollar for dollar up to a $1,000 match for a completed lawn conversion or rain garden project. Submit projects to the Parks and Recreation Division for approval by the City Arborist.

What is lawn conversion?

Lawn conversion means replacing your current lawn with an eco-friendly lawn that is drought-tolerant, no-mow, or pollinator friendly.

What is a rain garden?

A rain garden is a depressed area in your yard that collects rain water via run off. This creates a filter for the water before it enters the local waterways along with other added benefits to the environment.
