On August 23, 2022, Norfolk Police investigated a burglary that occurred overnight, at a business in the 2000 block of West Pasewalk Avenue.  The suspect was caught on surveillance video breaking into a drawer that contained a cash box and removing the cash.  He had a distinctive neck tattoo.  Staff suspected that the individual was part of the nighttime cleaning crew.  Officers had contact…

On August 19, 2022 at 6:13 p.m., Norfolk Police were called to a business in the 900 block of Riverside Boulevard to recover drugs that had been located in a delivery car.  A baggie containing methamphetamine and a clear glass pipe, commonly used to smoke methamphetamine, were located inside a delivery car.  It was determined that the items belonged to John R. On August 15, 2022 at 10:12 a.m., Norfolk Police were called to a business in the 1300 block of Norfolk Avenue for a counterfeit bill.  Employees advised that a male attempted to purchase a bottle of vodka with a counterfeit $100 bill.  The officer examined the bill.  The bill stated "PLAY MONEY" on various parts of the bill and it was easily recognizable that it was not a real $100 bill.…

 On August 9, 2022 at 8:40 a.m., Norfolk Police were called to the Nebraska State Probation Office for a client driving there without a required car ignition interlock device in her vehicle.  Officers had contact with staff and Katherine A.  On August 6, 2022 at 7:28 a.m., Norfolk Police responded to a shots fired call in the 900 block of South 3rd Street. Officers arrived and determined that several firearm shots were directed at a house. Bullet holes were documented in the home and shell casings recovered. No injuries were reported. A vehicle, and person of interest, was identified.

On August 7, 2022, at 12:14 a.m., Norfolk Police were called to a residence in the 1200 block of Elm Avenue for a disturbance.  It was reported that Brent A. Janzen, 26, of Norfolk, had returned home and was intoxicated.  He was very upset and broke a glass cutting board and a large glass cooking pot lid. On August 4, 2022 at 8:21 p.m., Norfolk police responded to a hotel in the 900 block of South 20th Street for a trespassing report.  When officers arrived, they had contact with hotel staff.  Staff indicated that Megan M.
