April 13th Press Release

On April 9th, 2020, Norfolk Police responded to a burglary of a local business in the 100 block of Madison Avenue. Video from inside the business showed a female entering the business around 2:00 a.m. that same day. Cash was taken from the business. Photos from the surveillance video were shown to other Norfolk Police Officers. Officers recognized the female suspect as Michael Brittini. Johnson, 33, of Norfolk. Officers had contact with Johnson at her residence. She was still wearing the same clothing that was seen in the video. She was also questioned about the incident. After speaking with officers she was arrested for burglary. She was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.


On April 12th, 2020 Norfolk Police responded to a loud disturbance in the 1800 block of Parker Circle. When officers arrived, a shirtless male pushed through a group of people outside, and ran back inside the apartments. He was yelling and appeared agitated and intoxicated. The male verbally identified himself with a false name. He was later correctly identified as Festus C. Parry, 23, homeless. Parry continued to cause a disturbance as the officers were present and was arrested for disturbing the peace and criminal impersonation. In a subsequent search, officers recovered four capsule pills from him. The powder inside the capsules tested positive for cocaine. He was then arrested for possession of a controlled substance. He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.


On April 12th, 2020 at about 6:55 p.m., Norfolk Police took a domestic assault report from an adult male. The victim reported that he was assaulted by Abigail R. Coe, 31, of Norfolk with a baseball bat. The victim reported that Coe entered his bedroom and struck him twice with the bat. The victim got that bat away from Coe and he started to record the incident on his phone. The video shows that Coe continues to physically assault him. The victim left the residence and came to the Police Division. Officer reviewed the video and then had contact with Cole at the residence. She was questioned about the incident and arrested for second degree assault. The baseball bat was recovered at the scene. She was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
