On August 15, 2022 at 10:12 a.m., Norfolk Police were called to a business in the 1300 block of Norfolk Avenue for a counterfeit bill.  Employees advised that a male attempted to purchase a bottle of vodka with a counterfeit $100 bill.  The officer examined the bill.  The bill stated "PLAY MONEY" on various parts of the bill and it was easily recognizable that it was not a real $100 bill. Officers had contact with Taylor A. Nelson, 33, of Norfolk, and spoke to him about attempting to pass the bill.  Following speaking to him, he was placed under arrest for first-degree forgery.  He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
