July 10, 2021 Press Release

 

On July 10, 2021 at 2:33 p.m., Norfolk Police were called to an apartment in the 600 block of Cedar Avenue for a disturbance.  The third-party reporter had recorded a female that had been screaming from inside the apartment. Officers could hear people inside the apartment but no one would come to the door.  They then attempted entry into the apartment only to find that the door had been barricaded with a sheet of plywood.  Officers forced their way into the apartment and found an adult female and a male identified as Gabriel Rodriguez, 31, of Norfolk.  The female reported that she had been assaulted by Rodriguez and he also prevented her from leaving.  She had injuries consistent with her statements.  Rodriquez was questioned about the incident and then arrested for third-degree domestic assault and second-degree false imprisonment.  He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.

 

 

On July 11, 2021 at 2:25 p.m., a Norfolk Police officer saw Jordan T. McIntosh, 32, homeless, walking in the 100 block of S. 6th Street.  The officer knew that McIntosh had an active Madison County arrest warrant.  As the officer stopped to have contact with McIntosh, McIntosh immediately began running.  The officer yelled for him to stop several times as the officer pursued him on foot.  The officer caught McIntosh and took him into custody.  In a subsequent search, officers recovered two bags of methamphetamine from him.  McIntosh was arrested on the outstanding warrant, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and obstruction of a police officer. He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.

 

 

On July 11, 2021, at 9:54 a.m., Norfolk Police were called to a parking lot in the 900 block of Omaha Avenue for a female passed out in a vehicle.  Officers arrived and identified the female as Amber J. Redwing, 29, of Norfolk.  Officers noticed open alcohol containers in the vehicle and conducted a DUI investigation.  The results showed that she was not impaired.  In a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers recovered a glass pipe that tested positive for methamphetamine.  Redwing was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.  She was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.

 

On July 10, 2021 at 9:10 a.m., Norfolk Police were called to a parking lot in the the 500 block of S. 25th Street for a disturbance between a male and female.  When officers arrived they located the female but the male had already left.  It was reported that the male, Jonathan M. Hille, 40, of Norfolk, had followed her to the parking lot. The two were involved in an argument and Hille had threatened her with a knife.  A witness intervened and Hille left the area.  Officers located Hille in the 2200 block of Madison Avenue.  He attempted to flee on foot, but officers caught him and took him to custody.  He was arrested for terroristic threats, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and 1st degree false imprisonment.  A search warrant was executed on Hille’s vehicle and four knives were recovered from inside of it.  He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
