November 2nd Press Release 2022

 

On November 2, 2022 at 6:53 p.m., Norfolk Police took an assault report from an adult female that came to the Police Division.  The female reported that Cody J. Randall, 32, of Norfolk, assaulted her on August 4th, breaking her arm.  She had to have surgery to repair the damage.  On November 1st, she and Randall were in another physical altercation where she was assaulted, injuring the same broken arm.  She further described other various times in the past where she has received injuries from him.  Officers learned that Randall had two active Madison County arrest warrants.  They then went to a residence in the 700 block of N. 1st Street looking for Randall.  Randall exited the residence, but then attempted to run back inside to evade the officers.  He was unsuccessful and was taken into custody.  During the arrest, he was holding a glass pipe that later tested positive for methamphetamine. He was arrested for the two Madison County warrants, first-degree domestic assault and possession of a controlled substance.  He was also cited for obstructing a police officer.  He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail
