On November 9, 2021 at 3:24 p.m., Norfolk Police, and Norfolk Fire & Rescue responded to an injury accident at the intersection of N. Highway 81 and Eisenhower Avenue.  A northbound 1999 Dodge Ram pickup collided with the passenger side of an eastbound 2014 Ford Explorer.  The female adult driver and three small children in the Explorer were all transported to Faith Regional Hospital. The male driver of the Dodge was not transported. One of the children was stabilized at Faith Regional Hospital and then transferred to an Omaha hospital via air ambulance with serious injuries.  Norfolk Police Accident Investigation Team was called in to investigate the accident.  Several witnesses were interviewed and the accident is still under active investigation.
