On October 3, 2021 at 10:04 a.m., Norfolk Police responded to a residence in the 700 block of Koenigstein Avenue for a protection order violation.  Officers had contact with the victim who stated that she had been assaulted by Victor M. Aviles Carreno, 30, of Norfolk, and that she currently has a protection order against him.  She explained the circumstance to the officers and they verified that the protection order was valid.  Officers located Aviles Carreno in the 400 block of S. 4th Street and spoke to him about the incident.  Following the interview, he was placed under arrest for a domestic abuse protection order violation.  He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail

On October 2, 2021 at 6:21 p.m., Norfolk Police were called to a residence in the 400 block of Omaha Avenue for a disturbance.  It was reported that a male was at the residence threatening to kill the property owner.  While officers were driving to the residence, it was reported that the male had brandished a knife.  When officers arrived, they detained the man who was identified as Troy D. Chaney, 40, of Pierce, and searched him.  They recovered a pocket knife from him.  Several witnesses at the scene identified it as the knife that he brandished while threatened the property owner.  Chaney was arrested for terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony.  He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail
