1st Street from Norfolk Avenue north to Prospect Avenue is now reopened to traffic. Please note that the roadway alignment has changed with the addition of the roundabout at 1st Street and Braasch Avenue and the new bridge over the North Fork River.

The City asks that everyone obey the posted speed limit and use caution while traveling through the area. Pedestrian access will be limited but accessible from Norfolk Avenue up to the roundabout.

Some construction work will be ongoing along the sides of 1st Street; please watch for construction workers and equipment. Pedestrians need to be aware of the ongoing construction around the river and obey the posted sidewalk closures.
