Getting a Library Card
You do not need to live within the city limits of Norfolk to get a library card. If you live, work, or attend school in northeast Nebraska, you are eligible to obtain a Norfolk Public Library card at no charge.
To get a Library Card that allows you full use of all the library's collections and services:
Applicants must provide a photo ID and proof of their current residential address.
Applicants must complete a registration form.
Children age 15 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian must provide a photo ID and proof of their current residential address as well as sign as the responsible party for the child.
Applications must be made in person at the library.
To get a Digital Access Card to use the Public Computer Labs and the Digital Library ONLY:
Applicants should provide a photo ID. This requirement can be waived if the applicant does not have an active ID card at the time of application.
Applicants must complete a registration form.
Children age 15 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who can sign as the responsible party for the child.
Applications can be made in person at the library or online here for those age 16 and older.
