Automatic Utility Bill Payment

The City of Norfolk is pleased to offer you a convenient service - automatic bank withdrawal of utility bills through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system. The program is designed to make bill paying as easy as possible for City of Norfolk water/sewer utility customers. If you want to take advantage of this time and money-saving service just print and  complete the authorization form below, and return it with a VOIDED check  to the City of Norfolk, 309 N 5th St, Norfolk, Nebraska.

How Does It Work?

With your authorization, the bank or savings & loan where you do your banking will deduct your utility bill from your checking or savings account 15 days after the date of the invoice. With ACH, you receive a copy of your bill as usual. If you have a question about the bill, call the Water Billing Department (402) 844-2018 before the due date for an answer.

The authority you give to charge your account will start with your next bill and remain in effect until you notify us in writing to terminate the authorization.

The Automated Clearing House system will help you in several ways:

  • it saves time and postage (fewer checks to write and mail)
  • helps meet commitments in a convenient and timely manner - even if you're on vacation or out of town
  • no lost checks or stop-payment charges
  • less chance of shut-off for untimely payment

The ACH system is dependable, flexible, convenient, and easy. To take advantage of this service, print and complete the authorization form below, and return it with a VOIDED check to the City of Norfolk.
