The 34th Annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program kicks off next week. Area residents and businesses are asked to bring any live Christmas trees to the Norfolk Fire Division Training Center (302 E. Benjamin Ave.) starting December 26, 2022 through January 14, 2023 to be recycled. 

Recycled trees are scheduled to be chipped into mulch for use in city parks and roadways the following week weather permitting. 

Trees should be free of all ornaments, tree stands, and nails. Trees that have been flocked will not be accepted at the site.

The Norfolk Christmas Tree Recycling Program is sponsored by Keep Norfolk Beautiful, Nebraska Public Power District, City of Norfolk Fire Division, City of Norfolk Street Division, and City of Norfolk Parks and Recreation Division.
