November 25 is Small Business Saturday, a nationwide event sponsored by American Express that encourages people to seek out and shop at small, local businesses. The Norfolk Area Business Resource Network is inviting you to participate in the Madison County Scavenger Hunt or Bingo, available online at NorfolkSmallBiz.com and in Wednesday’s Norfolk Daily News. Experience all the shopping opportunities available in Norfolk and the surrounding communities.

Small businesses in Nebraska form the backbone of the economy, with nearly 100% of all employer businesses being small firms. There are 182,684 small businesses in Nebraska—99.1% of all businesses in the state.

This year, the Norfolk Area Business Resource Network wants to welcome everyone to Small Business Saturday in Norfolk! Patrons can join the Madison County Small Business Scavenger Hunt by downloading the mobile app 'TurfHunt' and finding the scavenger hunt by entering the code: SBHUNT.

Earn points by simply traveling to and arriving at different locations and get extra points for completing various challenges at each location. The top three highest point earners will win gift cards to any Madison County Small Business in amounts of $150 for 1st Place, $75 for 2nd Place, and $50 for 3rd Place. Additionally, two winners will be randomly selected from both the digital scavenger hunt and the bingo game for two $50 gift cards.
