Enhance Your Landscape With Reimbursement Programs

Residents can receive reimbursement on landscape improvements from the City of Norfolk thanks to a pair of programs. The Re-Tree Program offers 100% reimbursement (up to $100), to homeowners within City limits, for the purchase of trees that are planted in locations in or near the terrace (up to 12 feet from back of curb).

Take Part in ‘Battle of the Badges’

The Norfolk Police and Fire Divisions are set to battle it out again to help the American Red Cross replenish its blood supply. On Friday, June 16, the ‘Battle of the Badges’ blood drive will determine which division can bring in the most donations.

Concrete Repairs Slated for 1st Street

Concrete repairs are set to begin Monday, June 12 on North 1st street. Work will take place from Benjamin Avenue south to Prospect Avenue. Expect partial lane closures as the project progresses.

Ta-Ha-Zouka Improvements Agreement Passed by Council

On Monday, the Norfolk City Council gave approval to an agreement with Norfolk Public Schools and Northeast Community College for improvements to Ta-Ha-Zouka Park.
