Striping Work to Begin
Weather permitting, striping work will begin on several City streets starting Thursday, May 30. Iowa Plains Signing will be conducting the striping throughout the summer months.

Temporary Closure of 1st Street
Beginning Tuesday, May 28 North 1st Street will be closed from Norfolk Avenue to Prospect Avenue to repair damage caused by a vehicle accident.

TIF Report Delivered to Public, City Council

Intersection Closure Begins Next Week
Beginning the week of May 20, the intersection of South 4th Street and Monroe Avenue will be closed to through traffic due to sanitary sewer installation.

Hydrant Flushing Week 4
The Norfolk Water Division began their annual water main flushing program on April 15th, 2024. Flushing will be done during the evening and overnight hours beginning at 8:30 PM and concluding at 6:30 AM the following day. Flushing will begin Sunday evening and conclude Thursday morning. 700 Block of Norfolk Avenue Closed to Traffic
The 700 block of Norfolk Avenue has been temporarily closed to ensure public safety following a building collapse.
The closure is expected to remain in effect until further notice. Motorists are advised to avoid the area until clearance is granted by the authorities.
