Landowners Asked to Clear Debris Before Spring

Upcoming Road Closure for Utility Work

Thanks to the Free Trees for Fall Planting program, an effort of the Nebraska Forest Service and the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, the City of Norfolk received 10 trees for the Playground and Trail Head Shade project.

City staff planted eight trees around the Skyview Park playground and two trees at the flood control trail head along Omaha Avenue to give needed shade to these two areas.

Rural Address Sign Project in Madison County

Recently, Madison County Commissioners approved a resolution authorizing the placement of individual address signs throughout rural Madison County in order to better assist public safety and rescue personnel. Twenty-fifth Street Roadside Maintenance

City Street crew will begin terrace grading and street maintenance on 25th Street north of Benjamin Avenue next week.

Solid Waste Receives Grant Funds for Composting Machine

In 2017, the Norfolk Transfer Station applied for the Recycling Equipment Grant from the Nebraska Environmental Trust (NET) to help purchase a new composting machine.
