Work moving along on Norfolk solar project

Construction work is progressing on Norfolk’s first solar farm, an 8.5 megawatt solar unit, located on land at the city’s well field on Highway West 275. Last year, it was announced Norfolk will be part of Nebraska Public Power District’s (NPPD) SunWise Community Solar program.

City of Norfolk Receives Trees Thanks to Fall Planting Program

Thanks to the Free Trees for Fall Planting program, an effort of the Nebraska Forest Service and the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, the City of Norfolk Parks and Recreation Division received 10 trees for the 2021 Tree Replacement Project.

Downtown Street Painting to Begin Friday

The Norfolk Street Division will begin painting the diagonal parking stalls and the midblock crossings throughout downtown Friday, November 5th weather permitting.

Concrete Improvements Continue

Work is continuing on concrete street improvements throughout Norfolk. Construction will commence on Hillview Drive from College View Drive to Sheridan Drive beginning November 9th or 10th weather permitting.

Repairs are slated for Sheridan south to the 1600 Block of Hillview. The intersection at College View and Hillview will be closed, and residents need to find alternate routes.
