On March 30, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., a Norfolk Police officer conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of North 11th Street.  The driver was identified as Pierre D. Evans, 38, of Norfolk.  A check of his license showed that it was currently under revocation.  He was taken into custody.  In a subsequent search, officers recovered a baggie containing cocaine from him and MDMA/Ecstasy tablets from the vehicle.  He was arrested for driving during revocation, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.  He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
