On January 25, 2022 at approximately 7:04 p.m. Norfolk Police officers were dispatched to residence in the 800 block of S. 18th Street for an assault call.  When officers arrived, they were able to have contact with a female subject.  The female was bleeding badly from lacerations on her face.  During the investigation, the officers learned that there had been an argument between the victim and Timothy Mauldwin 26, of Norfolk.  During the disturbance, Mauldwin had a coffee mug.  Mauldwin threw the liquid that was in the mug on the victim.  Mauldwin then threw the mug at the victim striking her in the face causing lacerations to the victims face.  Mauldwin was arrested for 2nd Degree Domestic Assault and was booked into the Norfolk City Jail.  Mauldwin was later transported to the Madison County Jail.
