For the past few days, area law enforcement has been attempting to locate and arrest Patrick R. Prince, 35, of Norfolk, on two active arrest warrants; one out of Madison County for obstructing a court order (original offense was possession of a controlled substance) and one out of Lancaster County for failure to appear (original offense was attempt of a Class IV Felony). Prince had previously made statements that he was in possession of a firearm and would use it against law enforcement if approached.

Officers learned that Prince was in an apartment at 1414 S. 3rd Street.  Norfolk Police officers, Madison County deputies and Nebraska State Patrol troopers all responded to the area.  While monitoring the building, a Madison County deputy saw Prince start to exit the building.  When Prince saw the officer, he retreated inside.  The officers, deputies, and troopers checked the building and identified the apartment that Prince retreated to.  A search warrant for that apartment was applied for to enter and arrest Prince.  The search warrant was issued and executed on the apartment. Prince was located inside along with three other individuals and was taken into custody.  During this process, drugs and drug paraphernalia was seen in the apartment.  A second search warrant was obtained for controlled substances and the paraphernalia.  During the execution of the second warrant, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia testing positive for methamphetamine were located throughout the apartment.  The subsequent investigation tied these items to different individuals that were present.

The resident of the apartment was identified as Pedro De Leon Jr, 45, of Norfolk.  He was arrested on an active Colfax County arrest warrant and for possession of a controlled substance.  Kelcee E. Albin, 27, of Osmond was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Brianna R. Maughan, 21, of Meadow Grove was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.  Albin was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and the three others were transported to the Madsion County Jail.
