On July 10, 2023, at 7:40 p.m., Norfolk Police were called to a residence in the 800 block on North 8th Street for a disturbance.  When officers arrived, they had contact with a small group of individuals including Brenda K. Sixtos, 34, homeless.  It was reported that Sixtos was out of control and was refusing to leave.  She was pushing people and causing a loud disturbance.  A male victim showed officers injuries that he sustained from Sixtos assaulting him.  He was holding her arms to secure her when officers arrived.  Officers noted that Sixtos was quite intoxicated and speaking incoherently.  Officers took Sixtos into custody.  At the jail she refused to cooperate and step out of the car. Officers had to remove her from the car and into the jail.  She was arrested for third-degree assault, second-degree criminal trespassing, disturbing the peace and obstructing a peace officer.  She was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
