On March 18, 2024, at 3:27 p.m., Norfolk Police and Norfolk Fire & Rescue were called to the area of South 2nd Street and Indiana Avenue for an unresponsive female sitting in a parked car.  Officers and Rescue personnel were able to wake the female who was identified as Abigail M. Linke, 37, of Norfolk.  During this process, officers saw that she had a glass pipe with burnt residue in her left hand.  A check of her records showed Linke had an active arrest warrant, and she was taken into custody.  In a subsequent search, officers recovered a small amount of crack cocaine and heroin from the vehicle.  She was arrested on two counts of possession of a controlled substance.  Linke was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
