March 28th Press Release 2024

On March 27, 2024, at 9:21 p.m., Norfolk Police were called to a business in the 1200 block of West Omaha Avenue for a male attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 bill.  Upon arriving on scene, officers recognized the male passing the counterfeit bill as Dillon E. Perry, 36, of Norfolk.  A check of his record showed an active Madsion County arrest warrant.  The arrest warrant was for first degree forgery as Perry had passed a counterfeit $100 bill at another business back in February.  He was taken into custody.  Officers continued the investigation and recovered the fake bill.  The bill was coated in some form of blue dusting and was misprinted.  No security features were present on the bill.  Perry was then arrested for first degree forgery for this incident.  He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
