Miller, 40, of Norfolk.  They spoke to him about the assault and arrested him for first degree assault.  He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.

On November 26, 2023, at 8:26 p.m., Norfolk Police responded to an apartment in the 900 block of Syracuse Avenue for a disturbance.  When officers arrived, they had contact with an adult female who reported that she had been assaulted by Timothy A. Anderson, 26, of Pierce.  She explained that she and Anderson were in a verbal argument that escalated to Anderson striking her face and pushing her into a door resulting in a large hole in the wall.  Officers noted her face was red and swollen as well as having two bite marks on her arms, that she stated were from the assault.  Anderson was located at a nearby business and placed under arrest for third degree domestic assault. On November 26, 2023, at 2:52 a.m., Norfolk Police were called to the intersection of 7th Street and Madison Avenue for a vehicle that was stopped in traffic and hadn't moved for some time.  Officers located and approached the running car.  An infant in a car seat was seen in the back seat and the female driver was slumped over and passed out. Several empty alcohol bottles were seen on the passenger floorboard.  Officers had a hard time waking the driver but eventually identified her as Addison L. Emerson, 22, of Pierce.  She was requested to perform field sobriety maneuvers and a preliminary breath test.  The results indicated impairment and she was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and child abuse.  In a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located a glass pipe that tested positive for methamphetamine.  She was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance.  Emerson was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.  After contacting the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, the infant was released to a responsible adult.
