November 9th Press Release 2023

On November 8, 2023, at 3:27 p.m., Norfolk Police responded to a disturbance at an apartment in the 700 block of South 20th Street. Officers had contact with a male and female. The female was identified as Simone Rene Arizola, 22, of Norfolk. Officers believed that she was under the influence of alcohol due to her slurred speech and odor of alcohol coming from her. The male showed officers a video of Arizola yelling as well as throwing and breaking things in the apartment during a loud argument that they were involved in. Children were present while this was occurring. He also had a torn shirt but denied injury. Arizola threatened to assault the male several times while officers were present. Arizola was placed under arrest for third degree domestic assault and terroristic threats. While being transported to jail, she threatened to assault the officer, and his family, multiple times. She continued to threaten additional officers once she arrived at the jail. She was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail. A review of her record shows she is currently out on bond from Lancaster County for a second-degree assault.
