October 12th Press Release 2022

 

On October 12'^, at approximately 10:13a.m. Norfolk police officers were dispatched to a business in the
100 block of Norfolk Ave. on a report of a robbery. Officers arrived on scene and were able to speak to
the victim. The officers were able to get a physical description and a direction of travel of the suspect.
While officers were investigating the incident at the scene, the officers learned that the suspect took
money out of the register and attempted to leave. The victim went after the suspect and attempted to get
the money back. There was a brief struggle between the victim and the suspect. During the struggle the
victim was able to get some of the money back before the suspect left. While officer were investigating at
the scene, other officer began a search of the area. During the search of the area, several citizens that were
in the area were contacted and given the description of the suspect. At 11:39a.m. an officer was
investigating a lead in the robbery case. That officer was approached by a citizen that said he believed he
might know the suspect and his location. The officer was led to the location. Officers had contact with
the male suspect and he was identified as Robert Edwards 54, of Norfolk. Officers were able to connect
Edwards to the robbery with physical evidence and statements made by Edwards. Edwards was arrested
for Robbery and booked into the Norfolk city jail. Edwards was later transported to the Madison Co. jail.


On October 12^"^ at approximately 10:13p.m. Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 200 blk of
Maple Ave. A female subject called the police and advised that there was a male subject outside her
house and he wouldn't leave. When officers arrived they located the male subject. That subject was
identified as Jesse Fosbinder 29. of Norfolk. Officers spoke to the reponing party and she advised that
she and Fosbinder were in a dating relationship which had ended 2 weeks earlier and that Fosbinder
wouldn't leave her alone. She advised that Fosbinder continues to call and text her and will not stop.
During the investigation the Officers learned that Fosbinder had recently been given a trespass warning
for the property by other officers and he was told not to return. Fosbinder was arrested for trespassing and
booked into the Norfolk city jail and was later transport to the Madison Co. jail.
