Shooting Update Press Release

On January 28, 2021, at 9:04 a.m., Norfolk Police arrested Carlos M. Jimenez, 20, of Norfolk on a Madison County arrest warrant in connect with this incident. The warrant charged Jimenez with conspiracy to commit robbery. He is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail with a $50,000 bond.  UPDATE:

On January 25, 2021, Marquis D. Granville, 23, of Norfolk was arrested in connection with this incident.  He was arrested for discharging a firearm into an inhabited dwelling, attempted first degree assault, and use of a weapon to commit a felony.  He is currently in the Madison County Jail.  This remains a continuing and active investigation.  Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact the Norfolk Police Division at 402-644-8700.

 ORIGINAL RELEASE

 

On January 24, 2021, at 11:09 a.m., Norfolk Police responded to gunshots in the 1300 block of Park Avenue.  When officers arrived, they learned that several gunshots were fired at a residence in the 1300 block of Park Avenue by a passing vehicle.  The vehicle was described a grey with four occupants.  Officers identified the suspect’s vehicle, located it and impounded the vehicle.  Several interviews have been completed and investigators continue to follow-up on this case.  Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact the Norfolk Police Division at 402-644-8700.
